Bristol Drum Co. Segmented Black Walnut/ Paduak Snare Drum

The Segmented Black Walnut and Paduak Snare is unique shell design made up of Black Walnut Wood and Paduak Wood. Each ring is made from segments of eight different wood (Wenge, Bubinga, Purpleheart, Ash, Oak, Brazillian Cherry, Iroko, and Beech) that expose the different patterns in the timbers and respond differently to the light as the viewing angle alters. Each ring has one segment of each of the eight different timbers used.

The woods chosen are selected for their dense, hard physical properties, and as a result makes them choice tone woods to produce a shell that is bursting with character. And with the depth and 13" diameter, it gives the snare drum enormous versatility. The shell is finished with a high gloss lacquer. The Black Walnut and Paduak snare is an extremely high quality drum with an absolutely stunning finish and look.
