About Cariad…
The Cariad dream began back in 2012, when I decided to get back into drumming after stopping for nearly 15 years. I created a YouTube channel that, at the time, was called ‘Leigh Smith drum Tips’. My mission was to share tips to help other drummers get the best out of their kit, help them to record their drums at home and also share my own covers of songs.
Now in, 2021, our dream has become a reality, as I now own Cariad Drum Shop, Cariad Custom Drums and Leigh Smith Drums, and our YouTube channel now has over one thousand subscribers. We continue to share tips and advice on our YouTube channel, but now Cariad also includes a physical and online shop where we sell new and preloved acoustic kits, electronic kits, individual drums, and all essentials for drumming; tuition and room hires; cymbal repairs, e-drum conversions, refurbs. and resprays on kits; and more recently Le-on Music.

What We Offer
Physical /Online Shop
We offer many different products from a variety of huge brands, such as Ludwig, Pearl and Mapex. All of our prices are competitive.
Tuition /Room Hires
We have five teaching and renting rooms available inhouse at Cariad, and three fully qualified, experienced drum tutors.
Drum refurbishment
At Cariad Custom Drums, we offer full drum resprays and refurbs. to refresh your kit with a new finish or add shells to an existing kit.
